Privacy policy

Ding Dong Group Ltd ("Ding Dong", "we") runs Ding Dong — a home-finding app for the Stoke-on-Trent area. This policy explains what we collect and why, in plain English.
What we collect
- Browsing anonymously: a random device identifier, your swipes (dings and dongs), and your search preferences (area, budget, buy or rent). No name or email is needed to browse.
- With an account: your email address, first name (optional), saved homes, saved search alerts, enquiries and viewing requests you send to agents.
- Usage events: anonymised interactions (e.g. "a listing was saved") that help us understand what's working.
How we use it
- To show you homes, remember your likes, and send alerts you asked for.
- To pass your enquiries and viewing requests to the estate agent marketing the property — including your name and email so they can reply.
- To measure agent responsiveness (reply times) so movers can see which agents respond quickly. These figures are measured, never edited.
- We never sell your data, and we only email you marketing if you've opted in.
Your rights
- Download: export everything we hold about you from your profile page, any time.
- Delete: delete your account from your profile page. We keep the data for 30 days in case you change your mind, then erase it permanently.
- Correct or complain: email us at hello@ding-dong.ai, or complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk) if you're unhappy with our answer.
Storage & sharing
Your data is stored securely and shared only with the estate agent you contact and the service providers who run our infrastructure and email delivery. We keep anonymised usage statistics indefinitely.
